MCT sells 100% equity interest in Vostok Mobile Volga

MCT Corp., which operates in Russia and Central Asia under the Indigo brand, has sold its 100% equity interest in Vostok Mobile Volga b.v. to a financial investor. Vostok Mobile Volga b.v. held MCT\'s debt and equity interests in three cellular operators in the Volga region of Russia: a 50% shareholding in CJSC Saratov Mobile, a 70% shareholding in CJSC Chuvashia Mobile and a 60% shareholding in CJSC Penza Mobile. No details of the price have been disclosed.

The three companies have GSM-1800 licenses to provide cellular communications services in the Saratov oblast, the Chuvashia Republic and the Penza oblast respectively. Saratov Mobile and Chuvashia Mobile have been operating commercial GSM networks since the spring of 2004 and are successfully growing their subscriber bases. Penza Mobile is currently operating a test network in its region.
